Import names

or paste anything

Files are opened on your device. With AI on, only the text or picture is sent to find the names. Nothing is kept.

What you can import

How it finds the names

Your file is opened in the browser first. For a spreadsheet, it looks for a column called Name, Student or similar, and joins First name and Last name columns. Then, with “Clean up with AI” on, the text goes to an AI model that keeps the people and drops the rest: titles, numbering, email addresses, grades and totals. Photos and screenshots are read by the same AI.

You stay in charge

The names come back as a list you can edit. Untick anyone who shouldn’t be on the wheel, fix a spelling, or add someone who was missing, then choose Use this list or Add to wheel. If the AI returns a name that isn’t spelled the same way in your file, it is marked “check” and left unticked, so nothing invented ends up on your wheel without you seeing it.

Privacy

We don’t keep your files, the text in them or the names. Turn “Clean up with AI” off and the file never leaves your device. Details are on the privacy page.

Questions

How many names can I import?
Up to 1,000 per wheel. Very long files are read on your device instead of by the AI.
My PDF is a scan and nothing comes out.
A scanned PDF is a picture with no text in it. Take a screenshot of the list and drop that in. The AI reads pictures.
Does it work with names in other languages?
Yes. Names are copied exactly as written, accents and all.
