About WheelTwirl

WheelTwirl is a free spinning wheel for picking names, winners, teams and answers. Teachers use it to call on students and split a class into groups, streamers and shops use it for giveaways, and families use it to settle what’s for dinner.

What it does

• The wheel: up to 1,200 entries, weights, color themes, sounds, fullscreen, saved wheels and share links.
• Smart import: turn a spreadsheet, a Word file, a PDF, an email or a photo of a whiteboard into a list. AI finds the names, and you approve every one before it reaches the wheel.
• Giveaway picker: paste the comments from a post, set the rules and draw winners and backups.
• Group generator and visual timer for the classroom.
• Ready-made wheels, from yes or no to all 195 countries, and the whole site in Spanish.

How we keep it fair

Every winner is picked with the cryptographic random number generator built into your browser, before the wheel starts to turn. Weighted entries get a slice as big as their chance. You can check it yourself: the fairness test runs the wheel’s own code a million times and shows the numbers.

How we handle your lists

Your lists, saved wheels and results stay in your own browser. A shared wheel travels inside the link itself rather than being stored on a server. The only thing that leaves your device is an AI import, and only while it is being read; nothing is kept. The privacy page has the details.
