How to pick a giveaway winner
- Get the comments. Open the post on a computer, scroll until all comments are loaded, select them and copy. Paste everything into the box, timestamps, “Reply” buttons and all; the picker strips that out. On a phone, take screenshots and paste or import them, and the AI reads the comments from the picture.
- Set the rules. Choose how many winners and backups you need. Keep “One entry per person” on so people who commented ten times don’t get ten chances, leave out your own account and any co-hosts, and require tagged friends or a hashtag if your giveaway asked for them.
- Pick winners. Each winner is revealed one at a time. Copy the results for your caption, or download the winner image to post in your stories.
Fair and on the record
Winners are picked with the cryptographic random number generator built into your browser, and every entry that meets your rules has exactly the same chance. A person can only win once per draw. Each draw gets a record with the time, the number of comments, how many met the rules, the rules themselves and a draw ID, which you can share with your followers.
Backups
Winners don’t always reply. Set one or two backup winners and they are drawn in the same go, in order, so you don’t need a second draw if the first winner disappears.

- Do I need to log in with Instagram or TikTok?
- No. WheelTwirl never connects to your accounts. You paste the comments yourself, so it works with any platform, including private posts and group chats.
- How many comments can it handle?
- Thousands of pasted comments. The AI reader handles about 14,000 characters at a time; for longer threads, paste in parts or skip the AI.
- Can a person with more comments get more chances?
- Only if you want: turn off “One entry per person” and every qualifying comment becomes its own entry. The same person still can’t win twice in one draw.
- Is the comment text sent anywhere?
- Pasted comments are read in your browser. Only if you press “Read with AI” or import a screenshot is the text or image sent to our AI to sort it out, and it isn’t kept. See the privacy page.
